The SILVER model hydropneumatic disc cultivator can be used to cultivate all types of soil, including loose, medium and heavy soils, as well as stony soils. It is also suitable for green manure operations and stubble incorporation.

The Silver cultivator is ideal for working in challenging soil conditions, such as when the topsoil is only 10 cm deep and there is an impenetrable layer of rock below it.

The SILVER is a unique machine for working in rocky and gravel-rich soils. Silver cultivators require very low traction force, which translates into fuel savings, and can be optimally adapted to different tractors. Customers can choose from in-furrow, out-of-furrow or combination configurations.

The machine's 66 cm diameter discs are connected to the main frame via independent arms that are fitted with a hydropneumatic no-stop system. This enables the working units to swiftly return to their working position when an obstacle is encountered.

This design ensures maximum contact with the underlying rock layer, allowing the entire usable soil depth to be worked without damaging the discs. When impenetrable material is encountered, the discs lift independently.

The maximum working depth can be adjusted via hydraulic pressure regulation and reaches up to 25 cm. Di Raimondo offers a wide range of models with between 7 and 15 discs. All models have hydraulic working width adjustment and range in width from just over one metre to 4.27 metres for the 18-disc SILVER model. The required tractor power is less than 100 HP for the 7-disc model and approximately 250 HP for the 15-disc version.

Two depth-control wheels positioned at the front of the cultivator, running parallel to the direction of travel, ensure the cultivator is kept in the correct position, guaranteeing perfectly straight tractor movement both in-furrow and out-of-furrow. They are also hydraulically adjustable to vary the amount of steering correction according to soil hardness. Working speeds should be adjusted based on any obstacles encountered, with optimal conditions allowing speeds of over 8 km/h in stone-free soils with an adequate working depth.
